Problems Uploading Image with FireFTP

I was having problems uploading pictures to a new website using FireFTP for Firefox and couldn’t figure out why.  I was working on a newly created WHM account where I had been experimenting with cPanels hotlink protection & I thought that was the problem.  It didn’t make sense though because some images worked but others [...]

How Many People Watch Phineas & Ferb

I just had a proud daddy moment.  My 8 yr old son called me into the living room where he was sitting in front of the computer with Google up & he asked me “Dad, how do you spell Phineas & Ferb?”  I’ve never even heard of the show and I had no idea how [...]

Search Engine Stats for March and April 2010

I read recently that Bing’s market share for searches was an impressive number since it was over 10%.  Not sure if that was before or after these figures, but here’s what eWeek had to say. Google Docs has been rolling out the ability to upload, store and organize ANY type of file recently. It was an awesome service that allowed you to upload and convert .doc, .xls & .ppt files (MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint).  From there, you could access them from any computer as long as you were [...]

Manage Photos of Friends and Family

Google released Picasa 3.5 a couple of weeks ago and it’s got my vote. It basically allows you to tag photos similar to the way photos can be tagged on Facebook. They’ve got all kinds of cool little features built in to it. Picasa will scan all of your photos and look for matches to names [...]

Open For Questions

Just noticed the link on Google’s home page to the President’s website – whitehouse.gov.  I can’t say I’m convinced that President Obama is the solution for our country, but I’ve been baffled for years about why more politicians don’t leverage the internet to connect with their constituents better.
